cicer: (El oh el)
Earthquake! And the epicenter was only about ten miles from where I am now! Excitment! However, I rediscovered that my internal monologue during an earthquake is pretty stupid. It goes something like: 'wait, is this an earthquake, or just a big truck passing by? earthquake? if it's an earthquake, it should still be going. ...is it still going? it's an earthquake! quickly, to the doorway!!1'. Then I poked my head out of my dorm room into the hall, and found a bunch of other people doing the same. We probably looked like a bunch of curious praire dogs. There was a few minutes of group conversation where we all asked one another 'Did you feel that?!', agreed that an earthquake had indeed occured, ascentained that nobody had fallen down the stairs or out a window, and then retreated to our respective rooms once more. I immediately went to USGS, as is my wont, and filled out a response exactly three minutes after the fact. I imagined I was not the only one.

...I am a dork.

So. Did anyone else feel it?
