Really, now. Didn't I just go through this a couple weeks ago, reminding myself that I really don't have time for this kind of thing? *bites lip* Still don't, exactly, but who really needs to sleep, anyway? And the whole eating and showering things can probably go too! *dies*

But if I did app, HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING, who would you all like to see? I'm not sure there's anyone I really want to play/would feel confident playing. Mmggh....must think about this.

Also, holy shit, Homura is hot. Why haven't I see the Saiyuki anime yet? This is clearly unacceptable.

I have the Urasai! clips, and they are indeed awesome. I've heard the anime is crappy, though, so I haven't really made much of an effort to get ahold of it. Also, I tend to prefer manga to anime in general. I still kinda wanna see it, though.

I'd recommend trying the movie Saiyuki Requiem; it has a standalone story's the best I've seen in terms of animation, so it could work to tell if you're going to be able to enjoy the entertaining crack in sacrifice to the poor animation and WTF filler. Also, it is the slashiest movie ever (film subtitle: "Everybody Is Gay For Sanzo, Including Sanzo, Except When They're Gay For Each Other") and has a gratuitous extended Gojyo shower scene.

Although many disagree, I like the Saiyuki anime. It's a lot more campy than the manga, but -- I like it nevertheless. There's something about motion and voiceacting that makes me forgive a lot.

The anime varies wildly in quality and the bad stuf is sooo bad it hurts. But on the plus side there is Akira Ishida's Hakkai voice, which is the most wonderful thing ever. And the urusai bits- have you seen any of them? I could upload them if you like.

Also, even though I mostly avoid CFD as I do not want life eaten, if you are tempted you should do it! *waves pom-poms of doooom*

I have Urusai, and they are absolutely hilarious. As a rule, I don't have a lot of patience for bad animation, and I tend to prefer manga to anime by a wide margin. Still, I love Saiyuki so much, and I've heard some interesting things about certain bits of the series, so I may take a look anyway.

Saiyuki anime is crack. Really, it's almost as bad as Weiss Kreuz. With the pink and the filler, (my God, the filler!) and the total lack of budget and the filler and it's even gayer than the manga, and man oh man, my boyfriend has sworn to never watch Reload.
That said, it's really quite tolerable, and the dub is decent. I wouldn't pay money for it, but I do pop my bootlegs in quite often. The manga is far better, though.

I prefer the manga in almost all series, but I'd like to see the anime. I don't want to spend a lot of money on it, though, so I'd I can't find a cheap copy or borrow someone else's, I guess I'll go without.

A lurker here, to add her voice to the chorus of CFUD encouragers. To speak out of pure self-interest, I now find myself hankering after a Homura, having discovered how much trouble my character would cause with him, but that is a most unhelpful suggestion on my part, given that you have not seen the second season of the anime. But truly, more people joining the crack = love! Even if you don't have the time! Especially if you don't have the time, but somehow create the time out of some mysterious CFUD time/space-warp! ^_^

As for the anime, my two cents are that it is entertaining but not worth spending full price. I do derive enjoyment from my bootlegs, though. ^_^

*laughs* I want to. I'm just worried because classes start next week so I might be too pressed for time. Plus, I have several fic-projects and original writing projects that need my attention more than a crack-RP. But I suspect I could manage to carve out some more time if I really tried.

Since you're the second person to suggest bootlegs, would you mind suggesting places I might find some? I really haven't the faintest idea where to look.
