Thing What I Did Today:

• Watched Merlin. After hearing people on my flist talk about this show for the past, oh, three or four years, I finally tracked down a website where I could stream some of the episodes. So far, I've watched the first five episodes. It's quite a cute show, and Colin Morgan and Bradley James have very funny, very adorable facial expressions.
  
  For those of you who have seen the series, do you have any recommendations of episodes that I absolutely must watch ASAP? Conversely, any episodes I ought to skip? I tend to watch shows chronologically, and I'll probably watch the whole series sooner or later, but since there are quite a few episodes of this show, I don't mind watching the best ones first. Don't worry about spoiling me, I've already read up on all the major plot points.
  
  Also, since I can't watch a show without immediately delving into a new fandom, I've also been...



• Reading Merlin fanfiction. ...Yep. OK, I think I'm a little bit of an addict when it comes to fic. Seriously. When I finish watching a show, or seeing a movie, or reading a book, my first thought is always, NOW I MUST READ SOME FANFIC FOR THIS. Then I run to my computer so fast that I leave trails of smoke behind. Is...is that normal? Please tell me it is.



• Worked on my help_japan fics. Which...are spriraling wildly out of control, sob. They were only supposed to be 1k and 5k words, respectively, but apparently I am no longer able to write anything longer than, like, ten thousands words. Ever. Sob. I know it's taking me for-freakin'-ever to finish these danged things, but if you can bear with me a while longer, dear recipients, I promise you will get more bang for your buck! Mea culpa, dudes. :/

There's only one Merlin episode I don't much like and that's not until towards the end of S3, so I'm not much help on the selective viewing front. :D:D I'd suggest watching them in order, they're all good. ♥

I just got into it myself not to long ago and I personally prefer the more humorous episodes.
