brb, building ark

...Holy crap it is raining a lot. I nearly got soaked running from the house to my car in the driveway this morning. Luckily, I found my umbrella in the car! Hurray! But it's super-cold here, around 43 degrees F. I know that's t-shirt weather for many of you out there, but hush. This is a desert, we're bewildered and frightened whenever the mercury dips below 65. Also, since this is a desert, the soil...uh, doesn't cope well with lots of rain. In fact, if we get more than about half an inch at once, it goes BLARG and throws up wet sand and then we have flooded roads and flash-flood warnings and all that good stuff. Which we had today! Yay! I still love the rain though

Now, happy meme days...uh, three and four, since I forgot to do it yesterday. I went to the Nutcracker last night! And it was magical and wonderful and fantastic, definitely the best performance of the ballet I've ever seen. All the dancers were amazing and it was tons of fun. I also got to go out for pizza afterwards at California Pizza Kitchen, which was nummy. Yay!

Today was happy because I had my final in my least favorite class, and I think I did well on it. Also, I got chocolate doughnuts and resold some of my textbooks, so now I have extra pocket money for the holidays. Yay money! Also, rain, which is pretty even if it's cold and somewhat inconvenient. Yay!

Two more finals tomorrow, and then I'm free! ...I should probably go finish studying now, huh? damn
