I live! Barely. I'm still recovering from the worst. cold. ever. Now, I'm no wimp, but I seriously thought I was going to die for a while there. So, so sick. But now I am mercifully feeling better, and hope to be back on my feet soon. For now, if anything really, really cool happened in the last couple days, please drop me a note here. My flist is at skip fivehundredmillion, and I doubt I'll ever catch up. So if anything nifty was posted, tell meee....

Also, while I was sick I rented Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The reviews I read for this were fairly mediocre, so I was surprised. I loved the movie! It was visually stunning. Gorgeous, gorgeous scenes and costumes. And the kids were beyond charming. Liam Aiken? I would like you to marry me, plzkthnx. IMDB tells me you are only 15, so we'll have to wait a few years, but I am okay with that, because you are absolutely lovely and darling. Also, Emily Browning, I want to marry you too. The twins who played Sunny were dead cute as well. And of course, I always love Jim Carrey.

Somehow, I found the movie a lot more uplifting than the books, especially the end. But then I always thought the books were almost painfully depressing, which bugged me. I've only read the first few books though, so maybe the series gets better later on. I just hated the whole thing the books had going on. "Here are three cute kids. Their lives suck. No, really, they suck. Watch them go through more and more misery. Yay!" Now, I like angst as much as anyone, but that was a bit of a downer. The movie was very beautiful though, and still had the same oddly-humorous spirit of the books, which I did like.

Hm. I cannot think of anything else to say and I feel my headache coming back, so that's all for now, folks.
