...Hi, guys and gals! I'm, um, still alive! Awesome, right? Looking back at my last post, which was in...uh...March? Yeah, looking back at that, I'm beginning to suspect that there might be some people out there who thought that I had perhaps succumbed to the horrors of seasonal allergies. ...I didn't! YAY FOR NOT DYING!
2010 has been a pretty lousy year for me so far, though. Winter and spring were full of college stress and various health issues. Those all cleared up by about June, but were immediately replaced by family drama, which does not even bear talking about. But that seems to have cleared up as well now, so I am ready to enjoy the rest of this year. Impress me, 2010! This is your last chance!
I'm heading into my last semester of undergraduate education, which makes me very happy inside. I'm also working on applications to graduate schools, which makes me not so happy inside. (More terrified and intimidated.) Beyond that, not a lot has changed for me in the past five months.
I'm not doing a heckuvalot of writing these days. Very little, as a matter of fact. It sounds sort of depressing, but I think pursuing a degree in creative writing has destroyed a lot of the joy I used to find in writing. It's become a form of work for me. I realized the other day that I can't remember the last time I wrote something just for fun. It's been at least a year. I'm making it a (very late) New Year's resolution that I'm going to try and recapture some of that pleasure I used to get from writing something dumb and silly and fun. I've been working on 'serious' stuff for way too long.
Not too much else to say. I haven't been active in any sort of fannish activity at all recently, which is also something I'm trying to change.
Oh, I did finally cave and see Inception! ( Cut for spoileriffic babble )
Anyway! That's what's up with me. What's been up with you folks?
