cicer: (My life is pain)

Lanuage fail, for your amusement

Today's moment of language fail, en francais!

Teacher: Can you read number three, please, [livejournal.com profile] cicer?

Me: (proudly) I have no problems!

Teacher: ...That's good! But could you read this out loud please?

Me: ...oh! You want me to read?

Teacher: Yes.

Me: Oh.

There was also an excellent moment wherein she asked me a question, and I understood it, but horribly mangled the pronunciation of my reply, enough that she actually winced before correcting me. Poor language teachers. They put up with so much. I feel very sad for my French teacher. She absolutely cannot get us to remember not to pronounce the 'ent' ending of the verb conjugations for 'ils/elles', no matter what she does. She told us outright that if she could get us to stop doing that by the end of the semester, she'd consider the class a success. So far, it's not looking good.

ETA: And in further academic fail, I have found a sudden zest for doing all of my upcoming class assignments! ...Except for the one that is actually due tomorrow. I'm halfway through next week's work on all my other classes, and desperately searching for excuses not to start this assignment. Soobbb.
