cicer: (hakkai/gojyo kiss 3)
I'm still geeking out over how fast my shiny new DSL is. It was particularly noticeable when I was downloading a bunch of Saiyuki-ish songs that [livejournal.com profile] ciceqi put up here. OMGSOFAST! *squees like a dork who has just discovered the magic of DSL*

I have spent the last few days doing nothing but reading, watching movies, and playing computer games. It is excellent. I finished Syberia, and I really, really liked it. But I want to play the sequel now. This is an expensive hobby to support. *sulks*

Also, as may be evidenced by my subject line, I saw Fight Club for the first time, too. Very cool. I was unspoiled for the ending, so it really shocked me when it came.

I also caved in and preodered the sixth Harry Potter book. More money spent to support my obsessions, yay! :) I wasn't going to get it right away, but then I realized I want to be able to read it before everyone online starts talking about it. I want my views on it to be untainted by anyone else's commentary. That's kind of silly, I guess, but I'm permitted my weird hang-ups. Of course, this means that I have to reread Order of the Phoenix, which I only read once before hurling it against the wall in disgust. I'm almost half-way through now. It's a little better than I remembered, but it's still my least favorite HP book by far. CapsLock!Harry is really grating on my nerves. It's like reading bad fic on FF.N. *cringes*

In terms of fic-writing, the 385 fic has reached 2,000 words, and another short Saiyuki fic is almost done and should be posted in the next couple days. Any chance I could get somebody to look it over? I haven't seen Gaiden, and the fic references it a little, so I want to make sure I haven't made any glaring mistakes with the canon. It's about 850 words. Anybody willing to do it?

And so. How was your weekend? :)
