A bit at a loss for words, but very beautiful writing, so wistful. It might be I'm reading this when I should be asleep already, but I was very nearly crying near the end. I also like how you tied Jien into the story, it was somehow approriate, adding to the melancholy mood, if that makes any sense.
Commenting while very tired-->not good, but was looking for a good saiyuki fic to read before going to bed, and now I can at least do that, thanks to you. ^_^ and it's a new one too, how unexpected.
